The Europe-based Help Yetim Humanitarian Aid Organization delivered food aid, live dairy goats, and sacrificial meat to 1,200 needy families in Bamako, the capital of Mali.
Cahit Ataş, President of Help Yetim Humanitarian Aid Organization, stated that they have been entrusted with donations, which they deliver to families in need all around the world. He shared that, within the refugee camp located 5 kilometers outside Bamako, they distributed various aid packages to orphans, the destitute, and those in need who are living in challenging conditions. On the third day of aid efforts, Help Yetim distributed 500 food packages in Mali and later distributed the meat of donated sacrificial animals to 200 families.
Ataş also noted that they gifted live dairy goats to orphan families in the camp, adding:
"We set a condition for families who received live goats: they must not slaughter or sell them for two years. These goats, which typically give birth to twins or triplets each year, will allow families to sustain themselves comfortably with the milk they can collect. Our goal is not just to provide fish but to teach people how to fish. Mali is a livestock-rearing country, and we aim to support them in this regard as well. We thank the generous donors who have brought joy to 1,200 families so far."
Camp Coordinator Davud Abdurrahman Tayi expressed his gratitude to those who delivered the aid. He shared his thankfulness for the Turkish brothers who did not leave them alone, and prayed for support and assistance from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkey.
