The winter clothing was purchased with donations from expatriates and philanthropists in Turkey and was distributed by Help Yetim Humanitarian Aid Organization President Cahit Ataş to the students of the Aksakal Girls' Quran Course in the Bağlar district.
Ataş told AA reporters that, within the scope of the Winter Assistance Campaign, they were able to deliver the donations from philanthropists to those in need. He mentioned that with the aid, the children would no longer have to worry about their feet getting wet or their backs getting cold.
Ataş added, “We personally distributed the donations given to us by our benefactors. We, without considering regional differences, race, or color, deliver the trust given to us by our donors to wherever there is a victim, a needy person, or an orphan.”
In addition to providing clothing assistance, the organization has also delivered firewood and food aid in Şırnak’s Cizre and Silopi districts and Bingöl, as part of the 2021 winter assistance program, which began in Ankara.
