Help Yetim Humanitarian Aid Organization, based in Germany and established by Turkish citizens, continues to bring hope to hundreds of thousands of impoverished people. Their projects span 20 countries across 3 continents, with a focus on Africa, providing sacrificial donations, water wells, orphan support, food distribution, and many other initiatives.

Eid Clothes for 250 Orphans

The President of Help Yetim, Cahit Ataş, who arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, emphasized that “Eid is about sharing,” as he and volunteers embarked on their journey again this year. Ataş highlighted the ongoing efforts to meet the fundamental needs of orphans, including education, health, food, clothing, and shelter. As part of this year's projects, they dressed 250 orphans in the rural areas of Dar es Salaam ahead of the holiday.

Ataş emphasized that donations are collected to support orphans' education, healthcare, food, clothing, and shelter needs, explaining:

“Donated funds are utilized for projects like renovating orphanages, setting up libraries or dormitories, providing health services, organizing social events for orphans, and purchasing festive clothing. As Help Yetim, we also undertake permanent projects in many countries, such as the construction and inauguration of water wells, mosques, and schools.”

Food Aid for 250 Families

Ataş mentioned that they provided dry food aid to 250 families living in villages struggling with hunger. During the Eid, the meat from the sacrifices will be distributed to thousands of poor and needy families.

Providing insights about the Sacrifice Organization, Cahit Ataş stated that they carry out the sacrifices entrusted to them by donors, particularly in Africa, under the supervision of veterinarians and with great care, prioritizing humanitarian considerations.

Building Bridges of Compassion

With 10 years of experience, Ataş shared their goal of bringing smiles to tens of thousands of people this Eid through sacrificial donations. He noted:

“Each year, we act as a bridge for our donors to extend a helping hand to tens of thousands of people affected by natural and man-made disasters across various regions. Our efforts span from the African deserts to the shepherds of Asia's steppes, from the oppressed in the shadow of conflicts in the Middle East to all those in need in the Balkans, who share historical and emotional ties with Turkey. These donations eliminate boundaries and strengthen our bonds of brotherhood. The efforts of the compassionate Turkish community in Europe to share their sacrifices hold a meaningful and significant place. Our mission is to build bridges of compassion, delivering the donations of generous individuals who wish to extend a helping hand to people they’ve never met but know are in need.”

"We Wait for You Every Year"

Zubeydah Mewlidi, who resides in the rural area of Kimobirca in Dar es Salaam and takes care of seven orphaned children, expressed her gratitude to the benefactors and Turkey for not forgetting them this holiday. Mewlidi shared that they celebrated the Eid early thanks to the assistance received:

“Every year, we eagerly look forward to your visit. We await the arrival of the Turkish visitors,” she said.

Despite its underground wealth, Africa continues to struggle with poverty due to various political and economic reasons. The continent faces persistent issues with civil conflict, hunger, and access to clean and healthy food and water.
